The rain is gone, and thankfully it didn’t get too bad weather wise last night! We do have the chance for storms returning this weekend, which could involve severe weather at times. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight through Monday!
It’s a beautiful day, and tonight should be clear and cool. Things start changing as clouds move in on Saturday. Here’s the outlook:
- Tonight-Mostly clear. Low 42.
- Saturday-Increasing clouds with scattered afternoon showers and storms. Highs near 70.
- Saturday night-Showers and storms are likely. Low 54.
- Sunday-Rain and thunderstorms likely, some could be severe. Windy conditions much of the day. Highs near 70.
- Monday-Becoming mostly sunny. High 62.
While we have dry weather for a bit, a cold front is getting organized in the Rockies and goes out into the Plains tomorrow. As that front gets closer, we’ll see increasing chances of showers and thunderstorms. There could be severe thunderstorms each day, but it looks like the better chances for damaging winds and hail from storms will be with the second round early on Sunday.
As I mentioned yesterday for last night, make sure you’ve got at least two ways to get warnings (in case one fails) and make sure you know where you’re going to go and what you’re going to have with you in your safe place if we have warnings. As usual, I will be on the air if there are any tornado warnings for our area either tomorrow or Sunday.
After that, we’ll see the clouds move away, potentially as soon as Sunday afternoon behind the cold front. That will leave us with sunny and cooler conditions starting next week.
Thanks for checking here for the forecast. Have a great weekend!
