While it’s been a cold day today, the snow has stopped. Other than some flurries tonight, we won’t see much frozen anything falling from the sky this weekend, and for most of us it’s not likely on Monday. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for this weekend!
The sun is out as we speak in Blountville, as I type this at 5:15 PM. This is a good thing! We’ll see the sun rather frequently this weekend, before our next rain chances come in Sunday night and Monday. Here’s the outlook:
- Tonight-Partly cloudy with some flurries. Lows near 20.
- Saturday-Decreasing clouds. Highs near 40.
- Saturday night-Mostly clear and cold. Low 22.
- Sunday-Partly to mostly sunny. Highs near 50.
- Monday-Mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers. High 47.
- Tuesday-Becoming partly cloudy. High 54.
High pressure is moving in, so once we get the pesky flurries away from us tonight, we should have nice weather for a little while, albeit a little bit cool on Saturday. We should be right at our average on Sunday with dry weather as well.
A cold front brings clouds into our area Sunday night, as well as some rain showers. Of course, the higher up in elevation you are, the more likely you’ll get some frozen precipitation at the beginning of this. For most of us, though, this will be a rain event starting Sunday night and through most of Monday.
After that, high pressure returns, and this one won’t bring terribly cold weather in with it. We’ll be right at our average or a little above that on Tuesday.
That’s all there is to it! I hope you get out and have a fantastic weekend!
