October 6, 2019 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

October 6, 2019

Finally, some rain has arrived! The Tri-Cities Airport has recorded close to half an inch of rain today, the most we’ve seen in nearly a month! The good news is that more rain is coming to help our drought conditions this week. Here’s the forecast:

  • Overnight-Clouds and scattered showers. Low 62.
  • Monday-Cloudy with scattered showers, maybe a thunderstorm. High 75.
  • Monday night-Clouds and scattered showers. Low 55.
  • Tuesday-Mostly cloudy with some scattered showers. Highs near 70.
  • Wednesday-Partly to mostly sunny. High 77.
  • Thursday-Mostly sunny. High 78.
  • Friday-Partly cloudy. High 78.

A cold front is poised not too far northwest of us this evening as we head into the overnight hours. It’ll move through our area tomorrow afternoon, so expect off and on rain showers through Monday, with a chance of a couple thunderstorms moving through as well.

Rain chances continue behind the front for Monday night and Tuesday before we clear out toward the middle of the week. Then, high pressure will bring us back to sunshine, with temperatures topping out at close to 80 degrees Wednesday through Friday.

Another cold front gets into our area Friday night and comes through on Saturday, which could bring more rain into our area by that time. Getting rain every few days is something we definitely need to kick us out of the September drought we just finished.

Thanks for checking here for the forecast, have a great week!
