June 12, 2019 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

June 12, 2019

More clouds have arrived over our area today, and a bit sooner than expected. Thanks to that, it’s been a cooler than average Wednesday. Rain chances continue, but only through Thursday. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight through the weekend!

Scattered showers have mainly stayed north of the Tennessee/Virginia border today, but a small chance of rain does exist as a cold front approaches, then moves through on Thursday. Here’s the outlook:

  • Tonight-Mostly cloudy with a few scattered showers. Low 58.
  • Thursday-Cloudy with a few scattered showers. High 74.
  • Thursday night-Becoming partly cloudy. Low 48.
  • Friday-Partly to mostly sunny. High 77.
  • Saturday-Mostly sunny. High 82.
  • Sunday-Partly cloudy with a few showers and storms. High 85.

A cold front to our northwest approaches tonight and moves through tomorrow. That will increase our chances for light rain tonight and Thursday. Rain should move out by the evening hours, and clouds will start exiting our area Thursday night.

High pressure will bring us dry weather behind the front on Friday and Saturday. Starting Sunday, clouds will move in with a small chance of a shower or thunderstorm during the day.

Temperatures will stay below average until Saturday, then will trend a bit above that on Sunday.

Thanks for checking here for the forecast!
