July 24, 2018 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

July 24, 2018

A cold front is coming…but as it is this time of year, it’s not going to help make anything cold. We’ll just have less humid conditions and less chances of rain for a little while. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight into the weekend!

There are some scattered showers around, mainly staying in the mountains except for one storm near Bristol. We’ll see scattered showers tonight and maybe a few storms tomorrow, then dry weather is likely for a while. Here’s the outlook:

  • Tonight-Cloudy with a few rain showers, and some morning fog. Low 66.
  • Wednesday-Mostly cloudy with some scattered showers and storms. High 82.
  • Wednesday night-A few evening showers or storms, otherwise partly cloudy. low 64.
  • Thursday-Partly to mostly sunny. High 87.
  • Friday-Partly sunny with a slight chance of an afternoon thunderstorm. High 86.
  • Saturday-Mostly sunny, a slight chance of rain in the afternoon. High 85.

It’s not been exactly a normal weather pattern these past few days, and that’s going to happen with low pressure in the upper atmosphere above us. That’s going to slowly even out by tomorrow, which will get us out of the constant threat of rain we’ve had for a while now.

So look for scattered showers tonight, and maybe a rumble of thunder with rain tomorrow. Scattered showers should be mostly done by tomorrow night, followed by a dry day with less humidity Thursday. By Friday, our typical summer pattern returns, with temperatures in the mid-80’s and stray afternoon showers and storms popping up late in the afternoon and during the evening. The same trend holds true for Saturday as well.

Be prepared for mostly dry weather from Thursday through Saturday, with only small chances of rain each day headed into the weekend. A warm front may bring a better chance of rain and storms to finish the weekend on Sunday.

Remember, you can read the forecast here, but you can hear a shorter version on WHCB 91.5 FM each day, along with 97.3 Love FM, and 96.3 The Possum in the Tri-Cities. Look to the right if you’d like to listen online!
