February 4, 2018 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

February 4, 2018

It’s been a rainy end to the weekend, not too bad if you’re interested in an afternoon nap, that’s for sure! As everyone else is watching the big football game, I’ve been taking a look at the weather for the next few days, and more rain than snow is coming with our precipitation this week. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast through Friday!

Indeed, we’ll get a little snow behind cold fronts in the coming days, but nothing major. Rain will be a big deal with our next cold front on Wednesday. Here’s the outlook:

  • Tonight-Cloudy with light rain changing to light snow. Low 28. Little accumulation if any.
  • Monday-Morning snow flurries, then becoming partly cloudy. High 41.
  • Monday night-Fair skies. Low 25.
  • Tuesday-Partly cloudy. Highs near 50.
  • Wednesday-Rain likely. High 53.
  • Thursday-Partly cloudy after a few morning flurries. High early on near 44.
  • Friday-Partly cloudy. Highs near 50.

Days mirror each other in this forecast. Tomorrow looks a lot like Thursday, and Tuesday looks a lot like Friday. The middle day features a lot of rain, though, which is similar to today.

Starting at the beginning, don’t be surprised to see a dusting of snow in spots in the morning as the rain we’re getting this evening changes to snow for a while before the moisture stops. Tomorrow will get better as it goes along, from cloudy with flurries in the morning to partly cloudy conditions in the afternoon.

After that, we’ll have a dry day on Tuesday before a new cold front arrives Wednesday. I wouldn’t be surprised if we hear a rumble of thunder on a rainy Wednesday ahead of that cold front. After that, Thursday and Friday almost look like a carbon copy of tomorrow and Tuesday at this point, as skies clear Thursday and Friday looks dry for now.

It does appear that Saturday will involve another cold front and some rain, but with that being six days away, I’ll leave specifics to later in the week. Have a good one!
