October 27, 2017 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

October 27, 2017

The sun is still out, but not for long! A cold front is already bringing rain near Nashville, and that’s on its way here by morning, with lots of rain on Saturday. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast through the end of October!

The cold front bringing us all the rain tomorrow has arrived in West Tennessee, and will move across the state tonight. For high school football purposes, we should stay dry tonight. The rain here in East Tennessee and Southwest Virginia should start after midnight. Here’s the outlook:

  • Tonight-Increasing clouds, rain developing by morning. Low 45.
  • Saturday-Clouds and rain, with a possible thunderstorm. High 58.
  • Saturday night-Rain showers, with snow showers in the mountains. Low 37.
  • Sunday-Cloudy, windy and cold with some flurries. High 42.
  • Monday-Partly to mostly sunny. High 57.
  • Tuesday-Partly cloudy, maybe a rain shower late. Highs near 60.

The time frame for the cold front moving through the state basically ends as it gets through here early tomorrow afternoon. There will be enough rain behind it to keep showers around through tomorrow night.

Even farther behind that front on Sunday, we’ll have a mostly cloudy day and some snow flurries from time to time. That high of 42 might not happen for very long if it does at all. Sunday should be a cold, almost January-like day.

We’ll warm up a bit on Monday, and we’ll be back to the 60 degree mark by Tuesday. A cold front will approach by late in the day, so I’ll keep an eye on that for possible rain showers. As it stands, what rain we might get would be more likely Tuesday night.

I’ll be back with another forecast Sunday evening, and I’ll be in Bloomingdale for the final Sullivan County Football Game of the Week for the regular season! Sullivan North hosts Sullivan South tonight starting at 7:30. Rick Brooks and I will bring coverage starting at 7:15 on TopGunRadio.com, 96.3 FM and 100.7 FM. Have a great weekend!
