October 11, 2017 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

October 11, 2017

There’s not any rain around the area today, but there are a lot of clouds scattered around. The sun is covered by those clouds one minute and not obscured the next. We’ll see that for the rest of the day, before a cold front brings overcast conditions and maybe a few rain showers tonight. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast through Monday!

Off to the outlook we go:

  • Tonight-Cloudy with a small chance of rain. Better chances of morning fog. Low 56.
  • Thursday-Becoming partly cloudy. Maybe a little rain in the mountains. High 78.
  • Thursday night-Partly cloudy. Low 55.
  • Friday-Partly cloudy. High 81.
  • Saturday-Partly to mostly sunny. High 83.
  • Sunday-Partly sunny, clouds increasing late, with rain overnight. High 84.
  • Monday-Partly to mostly cloudy, a few rain showers. Much cooler. High 65.

A weak cold front has clouds to our west and Memphis about 20 degrees colder than us this afternoon. That’s coming this way, but it doesn’t look like there’s much moisture with it. I’m keeping a small chance of rain in the forecast for the higher elevations, but that’s about it through tomorrow.

For the rest of us, we’ll stay dry for the most part tonight and clear out by tomorrow afternoon. That will lead to a multi-day dry stretch, not nearly as long as the one we saw before this past Sunday. In fact, this coming Sunday might see rainfall, especially after dark.

Rain chances continue into early Monday before we dry out again. This time, we could have several days of rain free weather looking ahead to the rest of next week.

The big deal is the cooler temperatures. We’re still in the upper 70’s to mid 80’s through Sunday, then when that cold front passes, we’ll see a big temperature drop and it’ll finally feel like fall for a while!

Thanks for checking here for the forecast, have a fantastic Thursday!
