October 3, 2017 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

October 3, 2017

While the weather story for our area hasn’t changed much in the near term, the latter part of the weekend gets interesting. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight through Sunday!

It’s a fantastic day today, with temperatures in the upper 70’s to near 80 for most that aren’t in the mountains on this Tuesday. We’ll see similar conditions through Friday, with changes coming after that. Here’s the outlook:

  • Tonight-Partly cloudy. Low 44.
  • Wednesday-Mostly sunny. Highs near 80.
  • Wednesday night-Partly cloudy. Low 45.
  • Thursday-Mostly sunny. High 81.
  • Friday-Partly to mostly sunny. High 81.
  • Saturday-Partly cloudy with a small chance of rain. Highs near 80.
  • Sunday-Cloudy with scattered showers possible. High 78.

I think I mentioned on Sunday that it would be early next week before rain arrived. There is evidence to indicate we might see rain as early as this coming Sunday, it looks like from a tropical system and/or cold front, or perhaps a combination of both.

Regardless of what it is, it won’t change our weather through Friday. The front might bring some extra clouds Friday and early Saturday. Rain chances begin Saturday, with what looks like a halfway decent chance of rain on Sunday.

I’ll keep an eye on the Sunday situation, and I should have an update tomorrow afternoon. Have a great Wednesday!
