September 24, 2017 #TriCitiesWx Weekly Forecast

September 24, 2017

It was a dry and very warm-to-hot weekend. Similar weather will continue through Wednesday. A cold front changes things for late this week. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog weekly forecast!

High pressure continues to keep our weather calm for the first half of the week, but changes are coming! Here’s the outlook:

  • Tonight-Mostly clear, with patchy morning fog. Low 58.
  • Monday-Mostly sunny. High 87.
  • Monday night-Partly cloudy. Lows near 60.
  • Tuesday-Mostly sunny. High 86.
  • Wednesday-Mostly sunny. High 86.
  • Thursday-Partly cloudy, maybe a few rain showers. Highs near 80.
  • Friday-Partly cloudy, maybe a rain shower early. High 78.

Typically for late September, we’re at 76 at most during the day and 51 at the low point each day. So we’re 13 degrees above normal with today’s 89 degree high temperature. In fact, 89 degrees is a record high for a day or two early this week.

I think we’ll stay below that, but it’s going to be close. A cold front comes through by Thursday, bringing clouds, some showers, and cooler weather. It’ll feel much more like fall by the time we get to Friday for sure.

Thanks for checking here for the forecast! I’ll have another one tomorrow afternoon. Have a great week!
