September 15, 2017 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

September 15, 2017

The clouds have departed nicely, and there won’t be too many of them around through early next week. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight through Tuesday!

If you’re going out to high school football games tonight like I am, there will be no weather worries except for cool conditions at game’s end and maybe some fog driving home. From there, a fine weekend is in store. Here’s the outlook:

  • Tonight-Partly cloudy, patchy fog late. Low 56.
  • Saturday-Mostly sunny. High 83.
  • Saturday night-Fair skies. Low 58.
  • Sunday-Mostly sunny. High 84.
  • Monday-Mostly sunny, maybe a stray rain shower in the mountains. High 84.
  • Tuesday-Partly cloudy, a few rain showers possible in the mountains. High 83.

High pressure looks to hang out over the Smokies in the coming days, with a visit from the center of high pressure around our area from time to time. That’s good news, if you don’t want rain!

We have a good chance of warming up into the mid 80’s at times during the entire forecast period, with only small chances of rain early next week in the higher elevations. Same goes for Saturday evening in a few spots.

Make sure you join us tonight as we travel with Sullivan Central over to Sullivan South for football action! We’ll go on the air at 7:15 with the pre-game show, 7:30 will be kickoff as the Cougars take on the Rebels. Listen in to the Sullivan County Game of the Week on 100.7 FM near Kingsport, all around the Tri-Cities at 96.3 FM, and all around the world at TopGunRadio.com. Have a great weekend!
