September 14, 2017 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

September 14, 2017

It’s much cooler than expected today, mainly because the stubborn clouds just won’t budge! Hopefully we’ll see a bit of sunshine late today, but we’ll see a lot of it this weekend! Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast through Monday!

Thanks to those clouds, temperatures are cool this afternoon. Most of us are below 70, with a lot of folks not even close to that mark. The best chance of seeing 70 is if you head toward Knoxville at mid-afternoon. Warmer, more sunny weather returns tomorrow! Here’s the outlook:

  • Tonight-Clouds and fog with some light rain or drizzle. Low 58.
  • Friday-Partly cloudy. Highs near 80.
  • Friday night-Partly cloudy. Low 55.
  • Saturday-Mostly sunny. High 82.
  • Sunday-Mostly sunny. High 83.
  • Monday-Partly to mostly sunny. High 84.

Low pressure is near, and that’s causing all those clouds to hang around. Slowly but surely, the deck of low clouds will fade out. A mix of clouds and sun will be the forecast for tomorrow, after cloudy and foggy weather with drizzle at times tonight.

From there, a cold front approaches Sunday, but it’s not going to make it here. What’s left of it might bring a few more clouds on Monday, but we should stay dry at least until Tuesday. Expect highs near 80 tomorrow, and we might get into the mid 80’s by Sunday or Monday.

Thanks for checking here for the forecast, have a great Friday!
