June 25, 2017 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

June 25, 2017

It’s been a fun week for me, being out on vacation since last Saturday! I’ve returned, though, just in time for cooler weather! Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog weekly forecast!

I had fun being away for a week, but I’m also glad to be back! I’ll have a full discussion on the weather tomorrow, but essentially what we’re seeing is an area of high pressure that will move over our area toward the middle of the week that will block any cold fronts from getting here until the weekend, if not later. That provides us with nice weather, but we get warmer late in the week. Here’s the outlook:

  • Tonight-Fair skies. Low 52.
  • Monday-Mostly sunny. High 78.
  • Monday night-Partly cloudy. Low 54.
  • Tuesday-Partly to mostly sunny with a slight chance of rain or a thunderstorm. High 78.
  • Wednesday-Mostly sunny. High 81.
  • Thursday-Mostly sunny. High 86.
  • Friday-Partly cloudy with a few afternoon showers and thunderstorms. High 87.

A weak cold front will move through on Tuesday, and provide a small chance of showers and storms. A lot of that small chance of rain is reserved for the mountains, which will force air up and make storms more likely.

High pressure crosses past us Wednesday and sets up shop just southeast of here for the rest of the week. Rain chances Friday are a combination of the usual summertime pop-up showers and storms and a cold front starting to get close to us by then.

It looks right now that we might have better chances of rain for the weekend, but I’ll have a closer look at that later in the week.

Thanks for checking here for the forecast today, have a great week!
