May 25, 2017 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

May 25, 2017

The weather outside is…honestly, November-like. Cool, rainy weather dominates today, but we’ll warm up and dry out tomorrow. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight through Memorial Day!

Temperatures are low everywhere at this point, way below average for this time of year. The mountains are in the low 50’s, with our normal warm spots farther southwest reporting mid 60’s this afternoon. Tomorrow looks dry, but rain is a possibility each day through the weekend. Here’s the outlook:

  • Tonight-Mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers. Lows near 50.
  • Friday-Partly cloudy. High 78.
  • Friday night-Partly cloudy. Low 58.
  • Saturday-Partly cloudy to mostly sunny, a few showers and storms in the afternoon. High 85.
  • Sunday-Clouds and rain, with a few thunderstorms. Highs near 80.
  • Monday-Mostly cloudy, scattered showers and storms. Highs near 80.

Low pressure in Ohio is what’s causing our nasty weather today. Not good to be out doing anything, quite frankly. This won’t last too much longer, though, as that low pressure moves away we’ll see better chances of dry weather later tonight.

Friday will be a dry day, with clouds decreasing therein. Our next chance of rain doesn’t come in until Saturday afternoon, with storms possible ahead of a cold front that will move through Sunday night and Monday morning.

Ahead of that front will be rain showers and possible thunderstorms, so Sunday looks quite wet. Monday does as well, but there’s a good chance we’ll dry out by the end of the day. That’s not for certain just yet, with a few days to go to Memorial Day.

Thanks for checking in for the forecast, have a great Friday!
