March 31, 2017 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

March 31, 2017

The weekend is approaching, and despite a cool start, it should be fantastic by the end of Sunday! Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight through Tuesday!

Temperatures this afternoon have dropped from our high of 63 degrees so far to the mid 50’s this afternoon. A cold front moving through during the day is the cause of that, with temperatures as low as 50 near Tazewell, Virginia. We’ll stay cool tomorrow, but we’re back in the 70’s on Sunday! Here’s the outlook:

  • Tonight-Mostly cloudy, maybe a rain shower. Low 43.
  • Saturday-Partly cloudy, maybe a morning rain shower. Highs near 60.
  • Saturday night-Partly cloudy and chilly, low 37.
  • Sunday-Mostly sunny. High 74.
  • Monday-Partly to mostly cloudy, with showers and thunderstorms late. High 74.
  • Tuesday-Mostly cloudy with a few scattered showers, and highs around 70.

High pressure brings us nicer weather this weekend, although clouds may stick around for a good part of Saturday. Should that happen, we might struggle to get to 60 degrees. Other than that, the weekend looks fine, and mostly dry.

Our next chance of rain comes in late Monday, as a cold front moves closer to us from Texas. Showers and thunderstorms will be likely Monday night, and we’ll have scattered showers during the day Tuesday.

I hope you can get out there and enjoy the weekend, it should be a good one!
