February 24, 2017 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

February 24, 2017

The record was indeed destroyed today, as we warmed up to 77 degrees this afternoon! Warmest February 24th on record! That said, we’re going to see temperatures crashing down to near average as we hit the weekend. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight through Tuesday!

And a quick one it will be, because it’s nice outside and getting out in it is a good idea, right?

  • Tonight-Increasing clouds, with scattered showers and storms late. Lows near 50.
  • Saturday-Cloudy and windy, with rain showers likely. High 57, but in the 40’s by afternoon.
  • Saturday night-Cloudy with a few sprinkles or flurries. Low 24.
  • Sunday-Mostly sunny. Highs near 50.
  • Monday-Partly cloudy, a rain shower is possible late. High 57.
  • Tuesday-Partly to mostly cloudy, with a few rain showers possible. Highs near 70.

As far as a quick discussion is concerned, we’ll have a cold front moving through early tomorrow morning. Thunderstorms are possible ahead of the front tonight, but it looks like most of the activity is north of the Tennessee/Kentucky border right now. I’ll keep an eye on that, just be informed that late night storms are possible.

Rain continues early tomorrow, then we clear out. The high tomorrow will happen early, and temperatures drop into the 40’s late in the day. It’ll be dry for Sunday and most of Monday, before things warm up and rain chances return late Monday and Tuesday.

Thanks for checking here for the forecast, have a great weekend!
