February 21, 2017 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

February 21, 2017

The sun was out for much of the day today, a beautiful and warm day in the Tri-Cities. We’ll get some rain and cool off a little tomorrow, but above average temperatures will be the story through Saturday. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight through Sunday!

Late this afternoon, we reached 69 degrees at the airport. Meanwhile, the mountains were still in the low 50’s, with temperatures getting warmer with elevation decline. Rain is not far away, and we’ll have wet conditions outside tonight and tomorrow. Here’s the outlook:

  • Tonight-Cloudy with scattered rain showers. Lows near 50.
  • Wednesday-Mostly cloudy, scattered light rain showers or drizzle. Highs near 60.
  • Wednesday night-Mostly cloudy, a small chance of rain. Lows near 50.
  • Thursday-Partly to mostly cloudy, a small chance of rain. High 72.
  • Friday-Partly to mostly sunny and windy. High 74.
  • Saturday-Morning rain, with afternoon clouds. High 58.
  • Sunday-Partly to mostly sunny, but cooler. High 48.

Low pressure is southwest of here, and that’s causing the clouds we see now and the rain tonight. Nothing will actually move through our area until Saturday morning, but rain will be around anyway.

A few bits of rain are possible tomorrow night and Thursday, with a dry day coming Friday. Rain is likely Friday night and early Saturday, with only a couple thunderstorms possible. Starting Saturday afternoon, we’ll dry out once again for the rest of the weekend.

Thanks for checking here for the forecast, have a great Wednesday!
