January 11, 2017 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

January 11, 2017

We’ve gone from really cold this weekend to quite warm in the past few days…or at least we will! Temperatures were close to 60 by the end of this afternoon, and we’ll beat that for at least two of the next four days. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight through the weekend!

It was a pretty nice day around the area, going from some light rain early to cloudy and much warmer conditions and dry later on. We will stay way warmer than average all the way through the weekend. Here’s the outlook:

  • Tonight-Mostly cloudy, a small chance of a couple rain showers. Low 45.
  • Thursday-Partly cloudy with a slight chance of rain. High 65.
  • Thursday night-Partly to mostly cloudy with a slight chance of rain. Low 47.
  • Friday-Mostly cloudy with some scattered showers. High 62.
  • Saturday-Mostly cloudy with some scattered showers. Highs near 60.
  • Sunday-Mostly cloudy with some scattered showers. High 58.

All of those temperatures are 10-20 degrees above our average for mid-January! And the good news is, the rain we’ll see won’t be widespread by any means.

Tomorrow looks like the most dry day in the coming days. After that, we’ll have a cold front turn stationary and hang out not far from us through the weekend. That will cause varying shots of rain showers, but it will also keep temperatures reasonably warm in the process.

Those temperatures are so warm that our lows tonight and tomorrow night will be close to what we normally see for daytime highs! We’ll continue on that way for a while, but we’ll definitely have more cold shots coming later on. It is winter, after all!
