October 30, 2016 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

October 30, 2016

Despite the lack of anything good happening in sports this weekend, we tied two records this weekend, as 79 degrees was our hottest temperature of the day for both Saturday and Sunday. We’ll hold on to 70’s most of the week, but we will see a chance of rain coming later this week. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog for Monday through Friday!

Straightaway, let’s go to the outlook:

  • Tonight-Partly Cloudy. Lows near 50.
  • Monday-Mostly sunny. High 77.
  • Monday night-Partly cloudy. Low 52.
  • Tuesday-Partly cloudy. High 78.
  • Wednesday-Mostly sunny. High 79.
  • Thursday-Partly to mostly cloudy, with rain likely at times. High 73.
  • Friday-Partly to mostly sunny. High 64.

High pressure comes in behind the cold front, and drifts through our area over the next three days. There will be some extra clouds around on Tuesday, but not much if anything in the way of rainfall.

A cold front moves in by Thursday, and that will finally bring us a decent chance of rain as we’ll be a few days deep into November by then. That front will move through by the end of Thursday, and bring temperatures back down as we look toward Friday.

We’ll end the month most likely over 7 inches of rain below average, as we’re nearly at that mark now with a day to go. Three-quarters of an inch of rain for the month doesn’t look likely, even though we’re just short of that mark.

Here’s hoping November brings us more rain, because it’s been a very dry fall so far. I’ll have more details on that Thursday system in the coming days. Have a great week!
