October 18, 2016 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

October 18, 2016

The sun hasn’t been out all day, but it has been dry all day today. We’ll continue to see clouds off and on tomorrow, then we won’t see much sun at all from late Thursday through early Saturday. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight through the weekend!

At just before 5pm, temperatures ranged from the mid-70s in Western North Carolina to the mid-80s near Knoxville. We may get another day or two of that before changes arrive. Here’s the outlook:

  • Tonight-Mostly clear, some fog is possible again by morning. Low 54.
  • Wednesday-Partly cloudy. High 84.
  • Wednesday night-Partly cloudy. Low 57.
  • Thursday-Increasing clouds, a small chance of rain late in the day. High 82.
  • Friday-Mostly cloudy. Scattered showers likely. High 62.
  • Saturday-A few showers possible early, becoming partly cloudy. High 58.
  • Sunday-Partly to mostly sunny. High 65.

So, we’re going from lows in the upper 50’s to highs in the upper 50’s. That’s fall weather, for sure.

This is happening thanks to a cold front that stretches from Michigan southwest to Texas. It will bring more clouds as we go on through the rest of the week, with rain starting to be possible Thursday afternoon.

The best chance of rain is Thursday night into Friday. Don’t expect much warmth on Friday at all. The front moves through Thursday night, and the clouds depart our area behind that front by Saturday.

The weekend looks mostly dry, but much cooler. There might be a couple rain showers early on Saturday, but we should see sunshine by afternoon, then through most of Sunday.

Thanks for checking here for the forecast, have a great Wednesday!
