October 12, 2016 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

October 12, 2016

It’s been a gorgeous fall day here in the Tri-Cities, but things are going to change a little bit for tomorrow. We’ll see more clouds and a few rain showers tomorrow, late Friday, and again early Saturday. Overall, it’s not too bad for the middle of October. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight through Monday!

Pleasant temperatures were the order of the day late this afternoon, with low to mid 60’s in the mountains, mid 70’s here in the literal Tri-Cities, and folks in Knoxville pushed toward 80. We’ll cool off a bit in the coming days, but not too much. Here’s the outlook:

  • Tonight-Partly to mostly cloudy. Low 46.
  • Thursday-Partly cloudy, with a couple light rain showers possible. High 74.
  • Thursday night-Partly cloudy. Lows near 50.
  • Friday-Partly cloudy, maybe a rain shower late. High 73.
  • Saturday-Partly cloudy, a few rain showers are possible. Highs near 70.
  • Sunday-Partly to mostly sunny. High 73.
  • Monday-Mostly sunny. High 77.

The cold front to our west will move through our area tomorrow, and it will start pushing clouds our way late tonight. During the early morning hours tomorrow through noon may be our best chances of rain, but it looks like a lot of us might stay dry.

After that, we’ll see a mostly dry day Friday, with rain showers moving in mainly for Friday night. A couple rain showers might happen early Saturday, and then we dry out for the rest of the forecast.

Temperatures will be warmer tomorrow and Friday, cooler this weekend, then we’ll be in the upper 70’s early next week.

At this point, any rain chances for the entire period are very small, and any rain we get should be light with this cold front and the disturbance coming in from Oklahoma Friday evening.

Thanks for checking here for the forecast, have a great Thursday!
