August 9, 2016 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

August 9, 2016

It’s August, and the forecast tends to be generally the same in the eighth month of the year. We won’t have any cold fronts near us or anything like that, but that won’t prevent us from seeing some thunderstorms popping up each day through the next four days, and maybe beyond. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight through Saturday!

The sky has been sunny for most of the day, making the day a hot one. However, it’s only about a 90 minute drive to cooler temperatures in western North Carolina, as they’re in the 70’s today. Everyone else is above 80, with the Tri-Cities in the mid to upper 80’s. Look for a mainly dry night with a couple evening rain showers tonight. Otherwise, partly cloudy conditions, with lows near 70.

Wednesday should feature a mainly sunny day, but there could be a couple showers and storms in the afternoon. Mainly dry, and mainly hot, as we’ll warm up to 92. Tomorrow night might feature an evening shower or storm, but should otherwise be partly cloudy ,with lows again near 70.

The rest of the forecast features a lot of the same, but we could see more scattered showers and storms. Look for scattered afternoon storms on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Early each day, the sky should be partly to mostly sunny until the clouds start to bring those afternoon storms. Highs Thursday and Friday should be near 90, with Saturday warming up to close to 88 degrees.

Thanks for looking here for the forecast, have a great evening!
