August 5, 2016 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

August 5, 2016

The weekend is near! I’m typing this just after 5pm, so the weekend has arrived for some of us. It appears there’s a good chance of rain on Saturday, but not as much on Sunday. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight through Tuesday!

It’s been a warm day, after some rain showers this morning. We’ve gotten up into the upper 80’s in spots this afternoon, with cooler locations up in the mountains closer to 80 degrees. We’ll see more weather just like summer over the next few days. Here’s the outlook:

Tonight-A few showers and thunderstorms are possible. Otherwise, partly cloudy. Lows near 70.

Saturday-Partly  cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms. High 88.

Saturday night-Partly cloudy, with a few scattered showers and storms. Lows near 70.

Sunday-Mostly sunny and mainly dry, only a small chance of rain. High 86.

Monday-Partly sunny, a few scattered showers and thunderstorms. High 87.

Tuesday-Partly sunny, a few scattered showers and thunderstorms. High 88.

A cold front will move through the area late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, and that will enhance our chances of rain tonight and tomorrow. Tomorrow night, things should start to taper off ahead of a mostly dry Sunday.

From there, we go back from whence we came, with a decent chance of scattered showers and storms both Monday and Tuesday. All that said, with the exception of Saturday, no day will be a complete washout, and even tomorrow might have its dry points as well.

The best day of the forecast looks like Sunday right now, as we’ll stay dry for the most part through the day, and it won’t be too hot. Temperatures should top out each day of the next four in the upper 80’s.

Thanks for checking here for the forecast, have a great weekend!
