July 5, 2016 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

July 5, 2016

Lots of clouds have kept temperatures down today, as we didn’t get into the upper 80’s as mentioned earlier. We will heat up later in the week, with muggy conditions starting tonight. Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight through Saturday!

There have also been scattered showers occasionally during the day today, but as warm as it is, the rain dries up on the pavement pretty quickly. As of just after 5pm, storms are near Knoxville moving northeast. That said, here’s the outlook:

Tonight-Mostly cloudy, with scattered showers and thunderstorms. Patchy fog early in the morning. Lows near 70.

Wednesday-Partly cloudy, with a few showers and thunderstorms. High 87.

Wednesday night-Partly to mostly cloudy, with scattered showers and storms. Lows near 70.

Thursday-Partly cloudy, a few afternoon showers and storms. High 88.

Friday-Mostly sunny, mainly dry, with only a small chance of a pop-up shower or thunderstorm. High 93.

Saturday-Partly cloudy with a few scattered showers and storms possible. Highs near 90.

It looks at this point like the best chances of rain will be tonight, then late Thursday afternoon and Thursday night. Other than that, most of the rest of the week should be dry. The hottest day should be Friday, as we’ll see mainly dry, sunny and hot conditions. Each day in the rest of the forecast will be in the upper 80’s to close to 90.

Thanks for checking here for the forecast! Be careful if you’re out and hear thunder, make sure you get indoors! That said, don’t cancel any plans, either, because we should have significant periods of dry weather in the next few days. Have a great evening!
