April 7, 2016 #TriCitiesWx Forecast

April 7, 2016

Winds are gusty around the area today, with official sustained winds at the airport earlier this afternoon over 30 miles per hour, with gusts in the 40’s! The good news is, the sun has come out, and warmed us up a few degrees above forecast. That’s a good thing! Welcome to the Tri-Cities Weather Blog forecast for tonight through Monday!

We’re going to cool down in the coming days, thanks to a cold front coming through tonight, then another one late tomorrow night and early Saturday. We’ll be chilly for a while, especially overnight, but before long we’ll be back in the 60’s, and 70’s aren’t that far away! Here’s the outlook:

Tonight-Mostly cloudy with gusty winds and a few rain showers. May mix with snow in the mountains. Low 35.

Friday-Partly to mostly cloudy, a few scattered showers. Windy and chilly, with highs near 50.

Friday night-Mostly cloudy. A small chance of rain, changing to snow as we drop to a low of 28. No accumulation expected.

Saturday-A few morning snow flurries, then slow clearing. High 45.

Sunday-Mostly sunny and breezy. High 62.

Monday-Partly to mostly sunny, with a small chance of rain late in the day. High 75.

A cold front is pushing through our area as we speak, which is the main cause of all the wind. Soon–before sunset–the wind will shift, and our temperatures will cool off quite a bit.

Clouds and rain are possible throughout tomorrow, but it shouldn’t rain all day, either. What rain remains will change to snow for a bit tonight in the mountains, then tomorrow night for all of us. There won’t be much in the way of accumulation, however.

Clouds start to slowly move out on Saturday, and we’ll see sunshine for most of two full days before rain chances go back up late Monday afternoon, with better chances of rain into Tuesday.

Thanks for looking this way for the forecast, have a great Friday!
